St Philip Howard

The Olympic Torch entered the UK in May and to celebrate this, St. Philip Howard Sports Centre and local sports partners are organised an Olympicnic in the park on Sunday 20^th May to coincide with the torch beginning its journey around the country.

Families were invited to bring a picnic and come and take part in a variety of fun activities to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Values that the 2012 London Games will promote.

The event hosted a number of traditional sports day races: egg and spoon, sack races, welly wanging, parent races and more. 

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were presented to participants in several of the activities.
