When the school became a designated specialist sports college in September 2005 we received a grant to build/refurbish an area dedicated to Sport and PE. This area is used out of school hours as a Community Sports Centre. As part of being a sports college we also work with other sports and leisure providers in the area to develop & promote sporting opportunities to all children, young people, adults and families.

The Community Sport Centre includes a fitness suite, accessible community changing & toilet facilities, gym, hall and tennis courts.

The following activities take place at St. Philip Howard Sports Centre:

For Children and Young People: Mad 4 Sport    (Multi-Skills Club) Table Tennis Centre of Excellence Holiday Activity Programme Cheerleading & Dance Trampolining Duke of Edinburgh Open Award
